چکیده

Time-odd mean fields in the rotating frame: microscopic nature of nuclear magnetism. Abstract The microscopic role of nuclear magnetism in rotating frame is investigated for the first time in the framework of the cranked relativistic mean field theory. It is shown that nuclear magnetism modifies the expectation values of single-particle spin, orbital and total angular momenta along the rotational axis effectively creating additional angular momentum. This effect leads to the increase of kinematic and dynamic moments of inertia at given rotational frequency and has an impact on effective alignments.

STUDY OF NUCLEAR LEVEL DENSITY AND SPIN CUT-OFF FACTORS

Nuclear level densities and spin cut-off factors have been deduced for nuclei in the mass region 24‹A‹63,from a microscopic theory, which includes nuclear pairing interaction. Single particle levels for both Seeger and Nilsson potentials were used in the calcdations. Level densities extracted from the theory are compared with their conesponding experimental values, It is found that the overall...

Time-odd components in the mean field of rotating superdeformed nuclei.

Rotation-induced time-odd components in the nuclear mean field are analyzed using the Hartree-Fock cranking approach with effective interactions SIII, SkM*, and SkP. Identical dynamical moments J (2) are obtained for pairs of superdeformed bands 151 Tb(2)– 152 Dy(1) and 150 Gd(2)– 151 Tb(1). The corresponding relative alignments strongly depend on which time-odd mean-field terms are taken into ...

Can cellular convection in a rotating spherical shell maintain both global and local magnetic fields?

A convection-driven MHD dynamo in a rotating spherical shell, with clearly defined structural elements in the flow and magnetic field, is simulated numerically. Such dynamos can be called deterministic, in contrast to those explicitly dependent on the assumed properties of turbulence. The cases most interesting from the standpoint of studying the nature of stellar magnetism demonstrate the foll...

Normal Fermi-Walker Derivative in E_{1}^{3}

In this paper, firstly, in $E_1^3$, we defined normal Fermi-Walker derivative and applied for the adapted frame. Normal Fermi-Walker parallelism, normal non-rotating frame, and Darboux vector expressions of normal Fermi-Walker derivative by normal Fermi-Walker derivative are given for adapted frame. Being conditions of normal Fermi-Walker derivative and normal non-rotating frame are examined fo...

Determination of the hyperfine magnetic field in magnetic carbon-based materials: DFT calculations and NMR experiments

The prospect of carbon-based magnetic materials is of immense fundamental and practical importance, and information on atomic-scale features is required for a better understanding of the mechanisms leading to carbon magnetism. Here we report the first direct detection of the microscopic magnetic field produced at (13)C nuclei in a ferromagnetic carbon material by zero-field nuclear magnetic res...
